These blocks have been so fun to make and I'll miss doing them when our swap is over      : (

This months blocks for Cindy

All our blocks together so far. I can see a little re-arranging will be necessary to balance out the colour. That sounds like a good job for my daughter.........

Also, it's Cindy's month in our Mid Century Modern bee. She asked for spider web blocks in low volume backgrounds with solids

The more of these blocks I make, the more I want a quilt for myself.  It will be amazing !!

I knit another little hat for miss J

which will go with her sweater,

which will go with her dress  (when I get around to it)

Have a lovely week end

This past few days has only allowed for a few hours to myself. I have some blocks that I have to make for March bees, but I only managed one.

This block is for the Humility Group of do.good stitches

It's a big one at 15" finished

The other day, I picked up this lovely bundle so I could proceed with my 100 Modern blocks. You know, because I didn't have enough..........

block 16

and 17

I'm hoping for a few days to sew this week but that may be wishful thinking           : )

When we were getting ready to leave for our trip, hubby asked if I wanted to bring my machine seeing we were going for quite a few days. Um.......yes? On the way there, I stopped for a few 'supplies'.

It didn't take long to get set up         : )

Some people can just sit and relax.   I can't.  When the opportunity presented itself, I spent some time sewing

My space was limited so I decided on another Charm Pack Cherry quilt.

When we got home, my daughter and I went down to the old train to take some pictures.

This was made from the Boho line for Moda.  Love it  (even though I managed to get the same fabric right beside each other )

and a couple more pics from our trip. This is an old pub in Victoria. Wouldn't it be a gorgeous quilt shop???

on the way home we saw a flying saucer...............

who knew?

Home sweet home.  It's nice to get away but always much nicer to come home.  Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post.  There were several 'no reply' commenters. If you didn't hear from me that's because i had no way of getting ahold of you  : (

"Crickets Corner" was who Mr. Random number generator chose.  I have sent you an e-mail Rina.

This is a shot from the Ferry we rode this morning.  Brrrrrr

Need a quilt in a hurry?  Try Charm Pack Cherry !  This is a really easy pattern that works up super quick and finishes at about 52 x 54

Just two charm packs and the same amount of background and away you go. I used a charm pack of Sherbet Pips and a bunch of leftover charms from different lines by Aneela Hoey. They all work well together.

Want to make one for yourself ?  I've got two charm packs of 'Wishes' by Sweetwater to give-away. Just add background.  Leave me one ( 1 ) comment on this post.  Hubby and I are away for a few days so I will choose a winner when I get back.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please be sure I can get ahold of you          : )

Happy Friday !  Just a couple of things today. I finished my blocks for the Heal group of do good stitches. These two heart blocks are for February.

tutorial is here

I still really like the scrappy low volume combination.  The reds just pop!

I managed to get Which Way quilted. Just working on the binding now. It's so soft and cuddly made out of the brushed cottons in the Mixed Bag collection.

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a lovely week end   : )

Well, South if I had MY way  : )

We got hit by more snow the other day. Sigh.......

This is called "Which Way" and it's made using the Mixed Bag fabric line by Studio M for Moda.

Every print is so fun and bright!

It's made using a charm pack and some yardage. Easy peasy

Whichever way you look at it, Mixed Bag is a fun fabric line that would lend itself to all kinds of projects. I can see making more fun things with these fabrics  : )

Enjoy your day!
