Working from this basket of scraps, I cut squares 5" and paired them up in a light/dark or dark/medium combination. To make the half square triangles I used the diagonal line method.
I then trimmed to 4 1/2". Easy.
I arranged them on my design wall.......
.......and then re-arranged them. I liked the random layout better, although it's hard on the brain : )
For the quilting, I did wiggly lines diagonally just to emphasize the triangles.
I used the same piece of fabric for the back as the previous little quilt and the binding is wordplay.
This fabric has been used in countless projects and I'm nearly out
Another little quilt that will be off to Guatemala shortly : )
Oh! and this months Modern Stash Builder
These could have easily worked into this quilt, but I was trying to use scraps. Next time.
quilt stats:

I love it! I agree with the random layout- it emphasizes the scrapiness. Spell check is telling me that isn't a word, but I think it is.
Great job!!
That looks great! I like the scrappier layout too and I think the quilting lines are perfect with it.
it is so fresh looking x well done x

Love the colors in this one and the quilting is perfect. Congrats on using up those scraps.
You might have resourcefully used scraps, but there is nothing scrappy-looking about it. The colours blend beautifully!
What a lovely project Carla. I find scrap projects so satisfying!
Great finish, love the colors :)
I love the random layout and the quilting really does emphasize the trinagles - so so pretty Carla.
Lovely quilt Carla. I can't believe you only had a small basket of scraps though. Philippa xx

This is gorgeous! I love the colours and the quilting :)
What a lovely quilt - and I love the wavy quilting - it really did emphasize the triangles! Love your scrappy pinwheel quilt, too!
I love it! And I do like the random layout best. You always motivate me to mix the fabrics up and not stick to one fabric line in a quilt.
What a cute little quilt! Such lovely colours. I couldn't help noticing those gorgeous arrows too on your design wall. I seriously love them!
