If you want a calmer quilt I would say no to the orange but if you want some blocks to pop then orange is the way to go. I have to say i like the b...I love the bird fabric. I have to say i like the bird with the orange. I think you would only have to put little bits of orange here and there. The quilt will be seen from a distance so i dont think the orange will be that drastic. Having said that, it is best to do what you like best. Sitting doing hexies today. Snowing and blowing here. It does draw your eye away from all that fabulous paper-piecing in the surrounding hexagons.
