PROJECT ELEVENTY-SEVEN


This is a new line of fabric out called "Little Gatherings" by Moda.    I really like the earthy colours of this line.
It should make a nice man's quilt.  Tonight I started playing around with this block.  I think I like it!



Each of the prints is quite tiny so they would lend themselves to the civil war era quilts quite nicely. I got myself some fat quarters, but I'm thinking that's not enough.



Also, we have a new baby in our church, little Jessica Grace.  I think EVERY baby needs a hat and this one is no exception.  I missed her baby shower but will have to give her mamma the goodies this Sunday.

    Hi Carla, I have to say that although I'm in a brights phase I love those colours, they are so tranquil and soothing! Also I think the block you did pkays to their strength - subtle yet elegant... And the hat is cute ;) take care x

    I love the Project Eleventy-Seven block, do you have pattern or pictures of a finished quilt top? Also I absolutely love the saying on your blog "God doesn't point to our sordid past and say "Don't live that way anymore. No, God cups our face in His nail-scarred hands and says, "My child, you don't have to live that way anymore". Is the above quote yours?     Hi Carla. Thank you for sharing this block. I can see how it has been constructed but I am not very good at working out measurements myself.
