TWINKLE TWINKLE (not so little) STAR

This week brought a new project my way.   I have been fooling around with "a Stitch in Colour"
layer cake. These fabrics are really fun.  Sort of out of the box for me, but I am happy with the results so far.

a close-up of these fun prints

my daughter tried her hand at a little fusible appliqué .  So sweet.  We just need to do the finishing touches on it and then I'll show more.

Speaking of children, my youngest son came over because he wanted to talk to us about buying a new computer. He was going to trade in his relatively new one, but still needed some cash to finish the deal. That's where we come in.  If we bought his older one (he has 2) he would have the cash he needed.
To make a long story short, Chad has the gift of "persuasion" and I have a new-to-me Mac mini in my sewing room : )        Only a mother.........

Happy Sunday

  5. Mothers are suckers. One of the ladies I work with her son did the same thing just last week and now she has a iPad. Good thing us dads are not pushovers or I would have something too.
