GRANNY SQUARE QUILT FINISHED

When I came home from work yesterday, there were 63 new comments on the give-away post, so I am working my way through those today. In the meantime, here's something pretty for you to look at.
I showed this at the Moda club. "Hello Luscious" granny square quilt.


I added corner stones to mine so I wouldn't have to work too hard lining up the sashing ; /

Also, I framed it with a 4" border just to make it a bit bigger. I really like this quilt!

    Carla, I love your granny square quilt! You little temptress, today is Sunday Scraps Day, how can I resist starting my own granny squares? Very clever to add the cornerstones, it adds a finishing touch, too.

    This turned out so beautiful. How big is your sashing? I am almost to this stage with my granny squares, but want to make a queen sized quilt for a friends birthday, so I have a few more squares to go.

    How cute! That Hello Luscious fabric makes for some serious eye candy. I like your anchor squares in the sashing - they definitely add a nice touch!

    This is beautiful, love all the colors. Has the name of this block changed, when I made it 25 years ago it was called a friendship block because friend were to sign in the center their names.

    Please share how you quilted this. I, too, am sashing with corner squares. I hand stitched the grannies and will finish the machine applied sashing today. I'm thinking about framing each square in the ditch, then free motion each of the 25 squares differently. I don't want to ruin it. Your thoughts?

    Oh, Carla, I love it! That's so funny that we both used the same fabric on the border. I'm doing a Granny Square in scraps but I really love how using a line ties it all together!
