STRINGY SCRAPS

This is my last scrappy project for a while. My scrap bin took quite a hit, for which I am glad.  These are just little pieces left over from the previous scrap quilt, along with some binding bits etc.

I sewed together various size strips until I had somewhat of a square. Then, I squared it up to 5 1/2".

I paired it up with a tone on tone white and cut that 5 1/2" too.  I drew a diagonal line on the wrong side of the white, and sewed on either side of the diagonal.  After I pressed it open, I squared it to 5".
Easy peasy.

Pinwheels seemed like a fun thing to do, so I made 9. Together with some sashing and corner stones, I had a nice little quilt in short order. The teal border adds the finishing touch.
Last time I was out photographing a quilt, I came across this awesome little shed. Look at that colour!
I thought this a great place to come back for a picture.

I'll be back in a couple of days with pics of show and tell from our last Moda club meeting.
Have a wonderful week-end.

this little quilt was inspired by a scrap series seen at Pleasant Home.

  9. Am loving this quilt! What a great way to use up scraps. And you're right, the shed is the most amazing colour - I wonder if the hardware store could match the colour in a fence paint?
