...........I can't say it.
I love the heat. I don't want it to be fall or winter or anything. I do however, love Blitzen, this years Christmas line by Basic Grey for Moda. So very lovely.
This is what I made this summer. I called it Blitzen Squared.
Isn't the quilting great? Linda quilted it for me. I wanted texture, so she did giant poinsettias all over to mimic the border print.
I love it.
The other day when my daughter-in-law was over, she said she really liked it. Perhaps that's one Christmas gift taken care of.
Have you started your Christmas gift making yet?
now that is beautiful
ReplyDeleteI love how the small corners give a transparency effect.
ReplyDeleteI did sew one Christmas present in July; no others yet though!
That is a gorgeous quilt, but are you kidding me? did you really say "it's beginning to look a lot like" Oh my goodness! Now that you mention it, it is only 3 months away! Yikes!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful quilt! I want to working with Christmas things, but didn't find time yet. I was just thinking how great it's autumn! x Teje

ReplyDeleteOh, I'm glad you didn't say it but now it's in my head anyway, thank you very much! :-) LOVE that quilt, and those fabrics. First time I've come across them. Thanks very much for that, too! Uh-oh - I feel the need to internet fabric shop...
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous!! I've thought about my christmas sewing, but havn't started yet..... although i have bought a couple of toys for grandkids already!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. I love the pattern. Is it one you can share?
ReplyDeletePretty! I like that that fabric isn't so overtly Christmas-y. You could probably call it a "winter quilt," or maybe I'm just a lazy seasonal decorator. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt and even though it is Christmas inspired it looks like something that can be used year around. Lovely pattern. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I have some of that fabric too. I love the looks of the overlapping squares.
ReplyDeleteI may gift a couple of my zakka projects, but otherwise, NOTHING! Love your quilt though!
ReplyDeleteI have just got my grubby mitts on some of this fabric and it is wonderful, and I'm usually a totally non-christmas fabric, non-moda kinda gal. It's soft and subtle and wintery and yummy.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt.
As always you guys make and amazing team! Beautiful
ReplyDeleteNow you went and said the C word. I'm just so not wanting to think about it. lol.
