SHORTBREAD AND A MUGRUG

Is it too early for shortbread ?  I think not.  Yesterday my little grand girls came over for the day. I had already planned on making shortbread, so it was fun to have the extra "help".  Last week I had made Scarlet a little mugrug out of some Blitzen scraps. She really likes snowmen.

His arms were a bit thin, so I thought he needed mittens. ( this little guy was inspired by one I saw over at during quiet time)

When the shortbread was done, we had to try it out.

Mmmm, Mmmm. My little helper did a great job : )

  7. That is pretty adorable! I love snowmen and have plenty for my Christmas decorating. I love making Christmas shortbread as well and it is a family tradition with us to have red and green sprinkles on them.

  11. Carla, I love shortbread- it is one of major weaknesses in the Christmas season. Your little snowman is very sweet-
Lots of wonderful quilts to inspire- very fun to see so many wonderful quilters from around the country.

  16. I think you are already ready for Christmas--shortbread cookies and a snowman mug rug! Aren't grandchildren the best help, be it in the kitchen, in the studio or on the couch? Happy Thanksgiving!
