SIMPLY COLOR - A FINISH

The original post about this quilt is here. Now that it's quilted I wanted to show it again, just because.


 This was it in December


and after quilting


I love the texture it has now.


I wish I could take the credit for the lovely free motion quilting but my skills consist of wavy lines and pebbles. Credit goes to Linda. She did little 'explosions' all over.


The backing fabric is a Mary Engelbreit print that I thought was perfect. Binding is a plum solid from the Simply Color line.

I am very very happy with this quilt. Thank you Linda for helping me get this one finished up so it can be used : )

    The quilting is exquisite and I think the dark binding does wonders for the colors on white background.

    Seriously amazing. Love the explosions so much! And I really like how there's a bit of a secondary star shape, in between the colour sections.

    I love this quilt! What a great choice for how to fill in the white stars--I would never, ever think of something like that, even assuming I could pull it off!
