It turned out not too bad! The tutorial is well written and there are lots of pictures to guide you along.
Of course practise makes perfect, so I am going to try another : )
The little scooters will be the lining for all three pockets.
Happy stitching to you.

It looks fantastic and I love the fabrics you picked for the second one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the tutorial. I love making zippered bags for gifts, etc, so I hope to add this to my lineup. Great fabric/color choices.
ReplyDeleteoh! That looks so great! I might have to get over my own loathing of zippers ....
ReplyDeleteLooks great! The front zipper tabs are so satisfyingly neat when you make one of these zippers - I love that about the design. Good luck with the next!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on conquering your fear- there will be no looking back now! Love the fabrics chosen for your next one!
ReplyDeleteoh terrific! Glad you faced it and just DID it! Have fun with #2 - should be even easier this time! Thanks for joining in the the Triple-Zip Along!

This bag is on my to-do lit. Yours are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I wish I'd done as you did - make one; then make another. I made two simultaneously and therefore made the same mistakes on both! Ah me. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!
ReplyDeleteLove your 3ZAL pouch, congrats for conquering that zipper phobia!
ReplyDeleteYour pouch looks great Carla! Love the little scooters. So cute. Especially considering my hubby drives one!
ReplyDeleteYour pouch looks great and I love those fabrics you've pulled for next one :)
ReplyDeleteThat bicycle fabric is SO cute!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you Carla! Zippers make me run the other way. But I keep seeing so many of these cute pouches, I'm sure it must not be that bad.
ReplyDeleteI think the best part would be picking out some fun fabric and matching zippers.
How cute...Now I'm thinking I should do something with triple zippers. =)
ReplyDeleteThe Comma triple zip looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteNicely done! I'll have to try this one ;)
ReplyDeleteReally darling little bag. I'm betting some of the granddaughters would love this in bright, happy fabrics. Speaking of happy fabrics, that collection you have ready for the next bag certainly fits the bill! Those bikes are too cute. Collection name?
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat little pouch! Love the choice of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteWow the triple pouch looks amazing. That's the thing, when zips are put in well the item looks great, however, when I put in zips .................. Philippa x

ReplyDeleteThis is looking wonderful. Both lots of fabrics are great.
ReplyDeleteGood job Carla! Your first pouch looks terrific and the fabrics for the second pouch will make another beautiful pouch.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job! I still sometimes just a bit stressed when putting zippers in. I don't know why! I have done it many times. I know eventually I won't even give it a thought! I love your fabric choices.
