TRIPLE ZIP ------FINALLY

A couple of weeks ago, I pulled these fabrics to try a Triple Zipper Pouch designed by Debbie of A Quilters Table.

I have had a fear of zippers, so I stared at it for a long time. The other day I got together with some ladies and we sewed for the day. I decided to just DO it.

It turned out not too bad! The tutorial is well written and there are lots of pictures to guide you along.

Of course practise makes perfect, so I am going to try another  : )

The little scooters will be the lining for all three pockets.

Happy stitching to you.

  10. Very nice! I wish I'd done as you did - make one; then make another. I made two simultaneously and therefore made the same mistakes on both! Ah me. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!

  14. Good for you Carla! Zippers make me run the other way. But I keep seeing so many of these cute pouches, I'm sure it must not be that bad.
I think the best part would be picking out some fun fabric and matching zippers.

  18. Really darling little bag. I'm betting some of the granddaughters would love this in bright, happy fabrics. Speaking of happy fabrics, that collection you have ready for the next bag certainly fits the bill! Those bikes are too cute. Collection name?

  24. You did a fabulous job! I still sometimes just a bit stressed when putting zippers in. I don't know why! I have done it many times. I know eventually I won't even give it a thought! I love your fabric choices.
