My back yard is pretty boring right now, so my daughter and I headed to the hills looking for some contrast for the quilt. I love the old barns in the background here.
This one shows the quilting. I did horizontal lines about every 1 1/2" or so.
Back down the hill to where it was a bit warmer . This old gate caught my eye.

This quilt is the first one off my list for the 2013 Finish Along. The last quilt I finished wasn't even on my list! I guess I should have planned that a little better.
Happy stitching today.
It looks beautiful and the setting for it is perfect.
ReplyDeleteLovely! Thank you daughter for modelling -- I would have sworn you took those photos in Colorado, but I guess not, huh?
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt! Great colors, perfect against the dark and white landscape. But oh, so brave, putting it on a barbed wire fence!

ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful and I love the photos! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love how this one turned out. The background fabric is warm without pushing all that luscious colour into overdrive… Great quilting choice, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful helper (who looks like a mini-Carla!) and your quilt is absolutely gorgeous - Chiclets! Perfect name! The photoshoot looks like it was almost as much fun as making the quilt :) Have a great day Carla!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish and you picked the perfect location for your photos.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt and a great photo shoot :)
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks great finished!
ReplyDeleteLove the first shot, everything that kind of dull winter brown, and then this pop of colour from a gorgeous quilt!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! Great pics too!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! And what a great idea for places to photograph it!
ReplyDeleteGreat setting for your beautiful quilt. Your daughter is a striking model, but isn't she cold? How can she look so relaxed shivering and freezing out there? See, that's how it is with us Southern girls, we'd wrap up IN the quilt and you wouldn't get a picture till spring!
