I am purposing to finish some things this year so I dug out the blocks and got the top done. Yay!
The last block is a little more scrappy than the others because I was running out of fabric. I went onto Flickr to see how others had finished theirs and most had done a border like this, so I did too. I like how it extends out to the edge.
Quilting has begun.

ReplyDeleteLooks great Carla. Hope you and the hubby had a wonderful little holiday. How was the Canuck game?
ReplyDeleteIt is always such a good feeling to finish up something that was "lost" and now is "found". Unfortunately I also have many of these in my house, and I swear they reproduce when I am not looking!! I hope you have some more trips planned with your husband, time together is always precious.

The top is gorgeous and you made a great decision with the border. It really does help to move the eye around the quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour groups knows a fast way to come up with a quilt top! The text fabric is something I've been toying with since I have several fat quarters.
Great finish! Hope to get mine put together today at our guild sewing day.
ReplyDeleteTotally gorgeous quilt Carla - do finish it!
ReplyDeletewow WOW! I love how these colors pop! My Supernova top is all sewn together. And yet it just sits in a pile of other quilt tops, waiting for something to happen...
ReplyDeleteYour Supernova is wonderful! The colors are perfect. Since this post, I hope you've gotten to quilting it because it deserves to be quilted and either hung up (as my Supernova is) or used!
