Making two quilts the same required a bit of discipline. It was kind of boring the second time but I kept thinking how nice the Beach House will look with these on the bunk beds. My grandgirls are too young to sleep out there yet, but their cousins have already. Apparently they were cold. : )
I think I'm going to have nightmares of sashing not lining up for the next little while! Glad the piecing is done.
It would be nice if by some stroke of magic these could get quilted but I don't imagine that is going to happen. Even MORE discipline is required now!
Enjoy your day.
Discipline! Good for you, they both look great.
ReplyDeleteTwo very pretty quilts, your sashing looks perfect!!
ReplyDeletethey look good to me x maybe the quilting fairies will come out at night and ... na maybe not! lol x
ReplyDeleteHi Carla! They are a beautiful pair! I know what you mean - it's not interesting to make the second same. When I made two quilts with men's shirts, I felt the same even the pattern was a little mite different. Still the fabrics were same. x Teje
ReplyDeleteThey're absolutely beautiful and will be perfect for a beach house!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!
Gorgeous! Those fabrics are perfectly suited for that pattern. They will look fabulous on bunk beds! You'll just have to keep focused on that to get the job done! Also, give yourself a reward when they are both finished, maybe that will help?
ReplyDeleteVery nice matching set! Not sure if I'd have the perseverance to make two of the same. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty! I've been trying to come up with a pattern to use for my sister-in-law who likes a lot of white, and I think this pattern will do the trick. xo
ReplyDeleteI love these... so airy and fresh looking! I'd struggle with 2 the same as well, I think that's why I stick to lap and smaller quilts as too much repetition gets to me. Those are going to be some gorgeous bunk beds!
ReplyDeleteI can just feel the cozy warmth of these beauties! Well done, Carla!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy. It took me 3 days just to do my last block. I'm impressed with two quilts....wow!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I have a really hard time with sashings... and discipline! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! and I love the pattern - I must put this on my to-do list!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Carla! Good luck finding the 'Magic Quilting Fairy' who'll finish these overnight for you!
ReplyDeleteYes, they will be worth it - congrats on the disapline! The quilts are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteReally, REALLY nice! These are dreamy. They look beachy...
ReplyDeleteIt does become a bit ho hum when one has to stitch two identical quilts....but...your two are gorgeous. They evoke a sense of happiness; of light and soothing colour. Your two quilts will look superb on those bunks!!
ReplyDeleteThey look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty and perfectly beachy! It is a little hard to repeat and make a second of anything, but these will look great together! If you find any magic quilting fairies, will you send them my way when their done at your place? : )
ReplyDeleteYour quilt tops do look wonderful. So lovely and fresh. Definitely worth the effort. They will look lovely in your beach house
ReplyDeleteHow perfectly beachy!!!! The bunk beds will look awesome!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful Carla....
ReplyDeleteThey are fabulous. So "beachy". Once your wedding stuff is finished you will be able to get them quilted.
ReplyDeleteCarla these quilts are simply divine. Your grandgirls will be so very happy to tuck up under then once they are finished. Philippa xx
ReplyDeleteOh, so pretty! Good for you to make twin quilts and inspiration for me because I am getting ready to do that same thing very soon for my two grand daughters. Last winter, I made look alike Batman quilts and the only thing that kept me going was a birthday deadline!
ReplyDeleteoh, they are gorgeous, Carla!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful pair of quilts!
ReplyDeleteI admire your patience is making a second quilt, but they sure are pretty.
