Bee blocks keep me busy at the beginning of every month. For July I had a nice variety to sew.
Sandra asked for these Trellis Crossroad blocks for the Humility group of do.good Stitches
Susan wanted any star block on a black background so I made her a 'twice upon a star' block
In June, Linda asked for string diamonds with a little orange in each one. I mailed late but she does have them now : )
I got my hands on a few fat quarters of the new Cotton and Steel after a little road trip to Summerland and Cherry Tree Quilts. Hi Barb! I pictured them made up into arrow blocks and I really like how they turned out
I used the selvedge for one of the arrows. Love it.
One of my boys has been taking a lot of pictures lately and putting them on Instagram. I thought just for a change of pace I would post a few of my favourites here. Canada is such a beautiful country.
This is basically our playground here in British Columbia : )
Enjoy

ReplyDeleteI loved seeing all those beautiful pictures of your "playground" but also loved the pictures of your beautiful quilt creations, too. Brilliant use of the selvage on those arrows! I haven't yet jumped on the Cotton/Steel bandwagon, but now I just might after seeing your arrows. It was great to see such an array of industry on your part--they are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI didn't leave a comment on your "anniversary" blog post because I don't need to be entered in your drawing, but congratulations on your postings and on your blogiversary, if there is such a word. I enjoy reading about your quilting and about your life. Carry on!
