and now.........
they are coming along nicely
Also I worked on my City Sampler blocks
I turned the page to work on the next one and discovered I was finished with that chapter. The next chapter deals with stripes so I think I will get lots of practice with my 1/4".......
What about you? Do you have a project you are working on and need some encouragement? Why not link up : )

Scraptastic Tuesday
Your scraps on a shelf are beautiful! I especially love the aqua and the LOVE blocks. Your City Sampler is coming very nicely, too. One of my fellow RI Modern Quilt Guilders just finished a 100 Modern Block sampler, and I love hers, too!
ReplyDeleteThe City Sampler blocks are wonderful and I love the scrap blocks. That is going to make such a wonderful finish.
ReplyDeleteLovely scrap quilt. I'm working on another baby quilt. Slow going though. Sometimes I wish I had a close friend or mentor who loves to quilt so we could encourage each other. Carla you do inspire me so thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteI spy with my li'l eye a colourful finger nail...perfectly co-ordinated, of course:) Your scrappy blocks are coming along very nicely....rather wonderfully, actually. My goodness, your City Sampler blocks are going to transpose into the most sublime quilt!
ReplyDeleteYour scrappy blocks are looking dazzling! The perfect match to your pretty manicure!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great start to your City Sampler. I like the colors and the scrappy flowers and birds theme that will be carried out through the quilt. I am a big fan of that teal blue. Nice. Also like your scrappy trip. Need to finish mine...some day.
ReplyDeletewhoa, amazing! the colours and fabrics you've chosen are great.
ReplyDeleteI really want to make one of those scrap quilts--I love the aqua and black centers. And all the prints you are choosing for the City Sampler blocks look great.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pleasure to watch your quilts come together, to witness this creative process. You are an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteBoth projects look lovely. Your city sampler blocks are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun eye candy! Love your City Sampler blocks - and that scrappy bargello tempts me every time I see it!
ReplyDeleteVery nice scraps on your shelf. I always think I am going to get on a city sampler every time you post those blocks and still the book sits... I have actually been working on a few Christmas surprises.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your projects are going to be so awesome....as Usual. I love your style!
ReplyDeleteYour scrappy blocks look awesome, this is surely going to be a wonderful quilt! Love it! And the Tula blocks are gorgeous as well - isn't that a wonderful and inspiring book?

ReplyDeleteBoth lovely projects and I'm looking forward to progress shots in future weeks!
ReplyDeleteThink a scrappy trip might have to go on my list ...

I love both sets of blocks. The scrappy blocks are looking wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love your scrappy blocks. The black gives it such a zing!! Love it! The City blocks are beautiful too. Love the fabric you are using. Great work.
ReplyDeleteI adore the fabrics you are using for your city blocks. Have you posted a photo yet of all the blocks together? I haven't seen the book locally so I'm not sure of the setting but I just know it will be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blocks. You pick the best fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI made a scrap vomit quilt quite a while ago and it is one of the grandkid's favorites. Great scrap buster for sure!
ReplyDeleteI like what's happening with those scrappy blocks.
ReplyDeleteI'm still in awe of your scrap busting project!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been slammed at work and have been working until the wee hours... which means not enough fun time for sewing. I might splurge and give myself some time for city blocks after the work project ships...
Hi Carla! I LOVE my little quilt. Funny thing...I showed it to Kendra when it was on your post and she loves it too! I wonder where it will end up living...
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see your Tula blocks I start thinking I should start mine...
I need encouraging to finish the last five Dear Jane blocks. Wish me luck.
ReplyDeleteI love how adding the blue and black diamonds turns scrap vomit into clever design. I can imagine these would be great bee blocks.
I love your version of the scrap quilt. That one has been on my to do list for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThe scrappy blocks are great---I love how just a little bit of organization can bring coherence to such a riotous pile of color!
ReplyDeleteGreat inspiration - love your City blocks!
ReplyDeleteI love the scrappy blocks. How big are your squares? It's amazing how quickly they grow. Your city sampler blocks are so pretty with those fabric selections. Great fabric placement. Love the bird in block 32 especially.
