IDLE HANDS

Years ago, I knit.........a lot.  One day a friend came over for tea, and she saw that I had nothing in my hands. She said, "what, no knitting? Idle hands are the devils workshop".
I've been going like a mad woman ever since!  It seems I have to always be doing something. Hexagons take care of that need. I pieced a couple more for my quilt.

.....and I cast on for some socks.  My Mom-in-law has a birthday coming up. She likes hand knit socks.

I have a finish to show you as soon as the binding is done, so if you'll excuse me, my hands are itching to do that  : 0 )

  1. One of my goals is to learn how to knit socks. Of all the "crafts" I've tried, knitting seems to be the most challenging for me. Thanks for the nice comments on my latest grannies! Oh.... And I love the fussy cut birds in your block.

  5. Your blocks are so beautiful! I love to quilt by hand but hand piecing is not for me - then I prefer to knit. After a while I started again my knitted jacket.
