HONEY HONEY GIANT STAR

After trimming lots and lots of half square triangles, I finished the quilt top!

It was such a gorgeous day, so I decided to go up the road a bit for some pictures. I came upon this little shed and it was just the right colour.

I want one of these in my yard  : )

This has been on my " to do " list ever since seeing this one last year.  2 charm packs and lots of white later,  I have a quilt top measuring 64 x 64. Half square triangles are a bit time consuming, but well worth the effort.

Thanks for stopping by today.

  1. Wow! Another beautiful quilt! Making a perfect HST is my next challenge! Your quilt is motivation to get this right! If you will forgive a newbie question: on the small triangles that abut the large white triangles, seems like these are just triangles (that is, not HST cut in half!). Have I guessed this right?

  8. Wow! Stunning. Love your version.

I'm curious as well about the little triangles that seam into the large white triangle. Are they simply triangles and not HSTs?

  9. ANNA. I'm sorry I can't reply to your question other than here because you are a ' no reply'. Yes they are triangles sewn to the end of the rows of HST'S .

  21. Hope that the snow has melted away or that it will soon go away. They are talking about us getting snow here in Alberta but may be we can always hope that the weatherman is wrong. I am really looking forward to being rid of snowpants on my little kindergarten kids!
Thanks for dropping by the blog- it is always nice to have visitors.
I am off to read some more of the blogs.

  22. Beautiful quilt, Carla. I love the white....makes for beautiful clean lines and lots of quilting space. The HST's give the quilt an almost scrappy feel.
