IN FOR A PENNY, IN FOR A POUND

My apologies to Kim in advance for this post.  Kim tends to get a little weak in the knees whenever I post about hexies           : )

I'm stitching away on my favourite pastime ........

.........but I've got a ways to go yet

Happy Friday

  1. Thanks for the pics! You have given me some hexie ideas; I have (finally!) amassed a stack similiar to yours, but with fussy cut centers...and after awhile, it is hard to find a startlingly original center. I do, however, have some "plain" hexies that are not in multiples of sixes, sooo...These are so addicting! I went to a flea market this week, and saw one of those plastic (lidded) boxes with little compartments for embroidery floss, and snapped it up immediately! It is perfect for separating different colors of one and a half inch hexies! BTW, your hexies are lovely!

  2. Such lovely hexies!!! I have managed to avoid the Hexie craze so far, but my LQS is starting a Lucy Boston BOM next month and I think I might join them. I love those Patchwork of the Crosses blocks :)

  4. Love these! I have a trip coming up soon and I MUST bring some hand sewing. My dilemma is that I don't have a hexie pattern in mind. I am going to just grab some beautiful fabrics (perhaps scraps from my Tula project), make a stack of hexies and then figure out what to do with them! Risky strategy I know!

  5. Ooooh....my poor ole knees just could not stand it, they buckled up from beneath me. And as for my poor ole ticker...the life support machine is on standby in readiness for occasions such as these. Of course your hexies are just gorjus!! Happy hexi-ing lovely lady!!

  11. Have you found that hexies are a bit like rabbits? Mine have been breeding like crazy, but no one is magically sewing them together. :(
