SATURDAY SNAPSHOTS

This is a look at the layout I'm playing with for my Blitzen quilt.   This may not be the final one, but I am liking it.




I got my wish for sun!  I sat outside and got quite a few hexagons basted until I felt myself starting to fry.



and I managed to do week #24 hexie. I had been avoiding this one, but it's done now.

    LOVE, love, LOVE that layout for your Blitzen quilt! I'm really getting into that whole grey/blue/green or brown/blue/green colour combo - they have such a cool feel to them (maybe a comment on the heat we're experiencing this summer? Today is the 5th or 6th day in a row with temps above 30° before the humidex got factored in...)
    I'm not into hexxies at all, but #24 is stunning - I can see why you were avoiding it though!

    Those fancy hexagons you've been sewing and posting about sound so interesting. They have all been beautiful. Are the patterns available or is the "Hexathon" still open?
