This. Poor. Sock. It's been waiting to be cast off forever. I think I started this two years ago? Norma probably remembers when I started this. Hi Norma !
I love knitting socks, but the cast off usually gives me trouble. I think I found some help. I am following along on a sock knit along at Knitting Sarah
Janie's sweater is nearly done. Just one more front to knit
I love this little edging.
One of the patterns I picked up. This one is for me
I found another button. These are made right here in Kamloops. Soooooo pretty
2 Good Claymates make buttons and jewelry. Katja's carries some of them
A few weeks back one of my boys was shopping with a friend. She found a hat she really liked and my son said "My Mom could make you that". (bless his heart)
I certainly hope she appreciates his ability to deliver : /
Have I got you running for your needles?
Ha! - "...his ability to deliver." Too funny. And what a great woman you are to take on the hat challenge.
ReplyDeleteI love that cardigan edging too. Such a wonderful detail!
Yay knitting! Now, I must go check out your last post so that I can pine over the fabulous yarn shop.
I love the shawl. Wish I could knit more, but my hand is hurt. Feel soo sorry for myself. Enjoy your knitting!
ReplyDeleteLove all your projects!
ReplyDeleteLive your knitting, especially Janie's cute little sweater...I'm not a knitter, so I will continue to admire yours.... Beautiful...
ReplyDeleteI love the sweater too. Its got an edging quite similar to the one I showed today.
ReplyDeleteYou've got some gorgeous projects on the go there Carla. Love them all! You also got one of the first buttons we made in that new design.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little cardigan, with perfect lacy edging. I'm in awe of your knitting talent, since I never have been able to master this skill (still have half of sweater knitted in a bag somewhere). Fun to see all the beautiful yarns and to anticipate how they might feel under my fingers. Lovely post!

What beautiful projects! I am trying to learn how to knit so these pictures are quite inspirational! Right now I am practicing the continental method and trying to keep my stitches somewhat close to even. I have a long way to go!
ReplyDeleteLove the button and the cable project looks particularly nice!
ReplyDeleteAll your projects are outstanding!
ReplyDeleteLove Janie's little sweater. You'll have to post a pic of her in it when it's finished.
ReplyDeleteOh, I adore that cowl and the yarn you've chosen...and the buttons.....oh, so wonderful. If only I could knit! You are a talented lady!
ReplyDeleteYou are an awesome knitter, do you need to make another sock to match your almost done one?? That edging is my favorite and sweater construction looks pretty interesting!
ReplyDeleteLovely knits! It is nice when your family is proud of what you make, isn't it! I think you get extra points as the praise came from a child; kids are so often brutally honest.
ReplyDeleteIf my trip to Canada goes ahead later this year (visiting the in-laws), I'll have to ask more about those buttons.
Yes, you have inspired me to pick up a few knitting projects again!! You've got to love your son's confidence in you!
ReplyDeleteBoth my grandmother and aunt were fabulous knitters! Somehow I didn't catch the gene but I love seeing knitting projects. Your little sweater is precious! If I knitted, I would make cowls and socks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sock yarn!
ReplyDeleteI used to be a knitter but I haven't in years. I think I'm a one craft kind of girl!
Lovely luscious yarns!!
ReplyDeleteThat little cardie is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYes, you have me running for my knitting needles to start the pleasant sounds of clickety clack!! There is something rather soothing about knitting!! I too adore the process of knit 1, purl 1....and everything in between!! Loving your projects, Carla!!
ReplyDeleteYour cardigan looks lovely and the sock along sounds fun. I find dpns tricky at the best of times so I especially admire your ribbing. I cheat and use small circular needles for socks. I'm looking forward to seeing the hat for your son's friend :) Thank you for linking with Wool on Sundays :)
ReplyDeleteI love the knitting projects. My husband has a similar tendency to your son when it comes to volunteering my time and talents (or lack of). Philippa xx
ReplyDeleteyou are so talented!
