Cannery Row is growing. These blocks aren't sewn together yet, but that's 104" of goodness you're looking at right there. I have been after hubby to knock out a wall in the kitchen for ages. If he won't do it to accommodate our big family dinners, perhaps when he sees I need more space for quilting he will?
These lovely Churn Dash blocks have been arriving in the mail. They will become another charity quilt for Hospice. I love making these quilts
My son came for breakfast sporting his dreadlocks. I need to finish his hat a.s.a.p : )
The hat is called 'the woodcutter'. I really like the texture of the pattern
and lastly, look what followed me home from work yesterday. A new kit! I'll be plugging away on this brushed cotton quilt in the next few days. I think it will be fun!
linking up with freshly pieced
Those colors in your new kit are great! Fun and bright! Gonna be a cute quilt! Tell hubby that quilting is IMPORTANT, so, knock out that wall;)
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt! I downloaded the pattern and few weeks ago, thinking it would be a good way to use up more scraps!

It's funny how fabric follows one home, isn't it!! It happens to me all the time!! I would think that an extended table and space would be the top priority of your husband!! Just out of curiosity...how do you fit all your expanding brood in at family dinners? Love cannery row blocks, they pack a punch of vibrant colour!!
ReplyDeleteHi Carla! I start to be 'green' here (from envy). Those solids have the most beautiful colours and the pattern is fantastic!!!
