and quilting
and the tedious binding made more fun with matching nails!
Then it was off to try and get pictures. We've been having crazy changing weather lately so it was hard to get good light. One thing about having a large family, there is always someone around willing (?) to come on a photo shoot with Mom : )
Done! This is finish 4 and 5 for quarter two of the finish along. Original list is here
quilt stats:
48 x 68
fabrics are layer cake squares and scraps
pieced and quilted by me
backing and binding is 'Here Fishy Fishy" by Henry Glass
"In tragic news today, three people were attacked by an unexpected crocodile at the river's edge. The trio had been engaged in a dangerous new trend authorities are calling 'quilt snapping'. More on this story coming up at 11..."
ReplyDeleteLove the pair of them! These could have gotten really busy but those framed prints anchor them perfectly. That quilting is lovely...Someday, I will be able to do a flower. It's not tomorrow, but it will happen more certainly than a BC croc attack. :-)
I love the previous comment. Too funny. Yes, I don't think you are in any danger from crocodiles, but the cuteness police might come any minute. Love both the quilts!
ReplyDeleteI love these two. What a great use of fabrics, the large prints are highlighted beautifully. I will keep this idea in mind for future projects!
