STOCKING STUFFERS AND A 4th QUARTER FINISH

Just in time for Christmas, I was given a pattern called 'little wallet' by Valori Wells. I whipped up a few as stocking stuffers for the girls.

They worked up so fast.  I enjoy putting hand made things into the stockings so along with their knitted socks, they will each get one of these

they are just big enough to tuck a little treat card into and perhaps some cash

and, AND I finished this pair of socks that were on my fourth quarter list

I had coffee with a friend the other day and was able to gift them to her.  Apparently she's waiting until Christmas to open them    : )   This was by far the nicest sock yarn I have ever knit with.  It's Madelinetosh and the colour is Dahlia.  I need to get more

linking up with finish it up Friday
wool on Sundays

I love the socks as well! I knit with DK weight Madelinetosh and find it so lovely. When I finally get my first sock done, maybe I'll cast on a pair in Madelinetosh!

  14. Beautiful socks in a beautiful color. Fun little wallets, too! I just want you to know I'm all ready for the EPP quilt-a-long, having bought the book. I've also sent a couple of friends over to your blog where you talk about that. Maybe I'll get a few to play along with me?

    Merry Christmas!

  15. Cute bags, and well done on the socks! They are a beautiful colour.
I know what you mean about yarn quality - the feel of a yarn makes all the difference when knitting. I have had some wear my hands raw, and few sock yarns are really soft as they need a bit of something to make them hardwearing.
