A SCRAPPY BABY FINISH

A bit of time in my sewing room this week allowed me to get this little quilt finished up.  It started with a charm pack of low volume prints to which I added very small scraps.

The inspiration was from the book 'Imagine Quilts'. I just resized the block

For the quilting I did wavy lines in a light grey thread

The backing is a flannel I bought about 4 years ago. The colours were right for this  : )

It's not a big quilt at all, but I figure some baby will like it eventually

One more so you can see what I woke up to yesterday---10" of snow!!!

  4. Another gorgeous quilt just waiting for a wee li'l baby to cover! 'Tis always amazing to me what you can do with the humble 'scrap', Carla. Wow..10 inches of snow; it must be a glorious sight in your li'l corner of the world...if a wee bit chilly!

  13. Very cute! So do you make baby quilts just to have on hand? It's a great way to get some quilting done, while also knowing that it will go to good use for a (future) baby. This turned out darling!

  19. What a darling quilt, Carla! I'm a pushover for a scrap quilt, and this one is so darned cute. You make me want to chuck all my need-to-do quilting and just go for something fun! The quilt photographs beautifully on the snow, but I bet it would look just as pretty below a palm tree!
