SUGAR POP FINISH

Is it Spring yet?  This quilt might be a bit too bright for the surroundings, but I had to get outside pics anyway. It's so fresh and fun!  This is a layercake quilt I did last year for the Moda club.  Very simple piecing and fusible flowers make it work up quick.

Once again, hubby was a good sport to hold it for me in the wind : )  I am happy with the quilting. I had asked Linda for all over loopy dragonflies, and the texture is wonderful. The binding is a lime green solid which I already had made about 6 months ago. Finally, I was able to put it to good use.
Here's a close-up of the quilting.

Don't forget about the Quilter's blog hop party starting on the 17th. I will post my give-away tomorrow and the fun starts on Saturday.

Carla - I love this! Did you use a pattern or make it up yourself? Either way, awesome work! The offset appliqued flowers definitely make this quilt.

What a totally stunning quilt!. I love the light colors and the daisies that break the flow. I haven't seen anything like it, I love the modern look to it. Pitty we can't see who's hiding behind the quilt ;)
I've made a little lime green and yellow owl quilt cell phone cover for myself so that I can hang my light little $15 Tracfone SVC for seniors around my neck for emergencies. I really like this little phone as it's got large keys and letters on the screen and it only costs me $7/mnth for service.
Now my daughter and her 2 girls also want owl or kitty cat cell phone covers and I really can't wait to see their excited faces when they get this surprise gift from me.
I'm using the iron on velcro for the closing mechanism as the stick-on velcro just gums up my needle.

What a bright cheery quilt for the onset of Spring! Reminds me of all the crocuses that pop up this time of year.

Has this been published at Moda Bakeshop? I couldn't find it anywhere over there.
