FRUIT COCKTAIL

One of the fun things about quilting is coming up with new things.  Years ago, I designed this set of placemats for a summer table. I never did use them. This was my first attempt at any free motion quilting, so I kept it to a minimum.

first up is a slice of lemon

an orange

and my favourite---grapefruit  !

I think the reason I never used them is because my table is rectangle.  They should really be on a little round one.

I suddenly have an urge for fruit salad!

Linking up today with  Debbie @ tuesday at the table.

You need a lime for a complete set! They would be great for a (rectangular or round) picnic table!

They are beautiful - of course you can use them on a rectangular table, especially if you make a lime as well!

Soooo cute Carla! Round or rectangular - doesn't matter. Both could handle cuteness.

What cute placemats. Those would go on any table. What fun to sit down to one of those placemats.

How ca-ute! You might be able to fashion some waitress-style aprons out of them (for some skinny Minnie waitresses)!

I keep telling my wife that I want to make some place mats. They would be a good place to practice FMQ. I love your idea of the non square or oval place mat.
