The yarn is an organic cotton I picked up last year
If I can keep the momentum going, I have fabric for a little dress to go with this. Perhaps for birthday #2 in April ?
and because naked needles are no good, I have started a hat for one of my boys. He asked me for something to keep his dreadlocks in. I'm happy to oblige. Trust me.

That cardie is gorgeous! I also really dislike sewing up knitting/crochet but love sewing fabric - I can't work out why!
'Tis a sweet cardy, Carla. I so agree, knitting needles need to be dressed with warm and cuddly wool. Good luck with containing those dreadlocks!!
Oh, Carla, that sweater is gorgeous -- adorable -- beautiful. Everything about it from color to style to workmanship!
That really is adorable!
I hear you. I hate sewing up the pieces too but I like to knit. Your little sweater is gorgeous. I have not knit with cotton yet.
I have not done any sewing with my knits yet, everything was knitted in the he round... About o start though... Not looking forward to it!
Gosh that sweater is so cute, -love the detail along the bottom edge. Looks pretty sitting on that quilt too!
And then a stretchy wool hat to cover your sons dreads....I see you're getting right on that haha.
That sweater is tiny! Very pretty!
The cardi's hem is very cute! Good luck with the hat.
A-dor-a-ble!
I'm always impressed by knitting and crocheting. That sweater is very pretty. Wish I could do that.
What a sweet little sweater, Carla....so impressive to me. Maybe there's a market for those hats!?? =)
Awww, so cute!
Such a sweet little cardigan, in that pretty yellow 'wheat' colour! Happy knitting!
Aww that is beautiful and a lovely colour! I had to giggle about the dreads!
The littl cardi is just gorgeous! I love both the colour and the little pointed edge just makes it so special - i have never been able to knit, and this is so sweet it makes me wish for the patience and skill to do so!
I'm sure your son will love his hat - the wool is a great colour.

It's really beautiful, Carla! Such a darling little cardigan too...I'm sure it's always worth it in the end.
Thanks for sharing. Hope you're enjoying the winter.
Saw this on IG, the sweater is so very sweet! Yes, seaming together knitted pieces is no fun, especially sleeves. There's lots of 'knit in one piece' patterns, maybe you should look for those!! :)
I prefer to not have to sew seams, I'll look for top down and knit in the round patterns and I'll often pick up stitches at the arm opening rather than have to try and fit a sleeve in after. . .but sometimes a pattern is just too pretty :) gorgeous little cardi!
How adorable is your little sweater, and the quilt it is on is fabulous.....
Love the sweater! I actually like sewing seams together. It's relaxing for me.
If ou don't mind me asking, where did you gt his pattern from?
You are so talented Carla!

What a sweet sweater! What is the pattern? Beautiful yarn color too!
Such a sweet cardi Carla, aren't baby knits just the most adorable things!
Sweet sweater! The quilt in the photograph is lovely too!
Cute knits! (Secretly, I am very impressed by your colour-coordinated fabric and quilt backdrops.)
Gorgeous cardi very neat and pretty.
So cute!
Heh! I never thought of it that way, but you're right -- it's strange that I like to sew, but hate seaming up knits! :D
Love Love Love your little knitted sweater!!! I'm with you, the finishing details on just about anything are my least favorite tasks .... hemming a garment, borders and binding on a quilt, weaving in the ends or sewing up a seam on a knitted project. Ugh!!! But it's so worth it when the project is done and so lovely :)
that sweater is adorable.
