FRIDAY PHOTOS

All the blocks are done for the wedding quilt.

Now I start the task of cutting up yardage for sashing. The plan is to make the 20 blocks cover the top of the queen mattress and the arrows will hang down around the edges. That's the plan anyways.
And, I'm still toying with the idea of something between the bottom two arrows.........

These are bits left over from previous arrow blocks made by me or for me.  I'm thinking they will make some fun wonky blocks for a small quilt of some sort.

The bride to be and I are making jam this weekend as wedding favours.  Things are coming together bit by bit.  Now just to get this quilt finished!

WOW!!! Such a stunning quilt. I love the idea of doing preserves for the wedding favours, but I'm biased; we did honey from our hives at our wedding. Oh, and I'm making mustard this weekend for party favours - a party for grown-ups, that is. I imagine children would NOT be impressed with receiving homemade hot mustard in their loot bags! :P

The quilt is gorgeous!! You mentioned initials between the bottom arrows, another suggestion is the wedding date or just the year.

It is beautiful Carla. Initials would be lovely between the arrows.

Our son and his wife made jam for their favours too, they looked really sweet sitting on the tables at the reception. My mum and I cross-stitched their initials on fabric tops for the jars, it was a real family effort :)

I love it more and more every time I see it! Can't wait to see it finished. What is the background fabric you used in the middle blocks?

Oh, I bet they will just love this quilt, Carla. Someone else mentioned adding a date in between the arrows at the bottom and I had that same thought when I saw it. 2015 would look so great there.

I love where this wedding quilt is going, Carla! We are considering making jam as favors for my daughter's wedding too. Thankfully it's going to be a small wedding!

Any quilt with your arrows in it is a winner in my book! I like the idea of adding something between those two bottom arrows ... maybe a monogram?

This is absolutely gorgeous! I love the idea of the arrows along the sides… what a sweet touch! (And I like the idea of initials or a date inbetween the bottom ones.)

And jam making?! Fun, and functional! My favorite kind of favor!

I love every arrow you've ever pieced! You do such a good job with them - combine that with your color and design sense and it's always a winner!
