THE BLOCK EDITION

On-line Bee blocks keep me quite busy each month. Sometimes they don't get done until the last few days, but they do eventually get done : )

This line-up is the blocks I made for July

For Susan

and for Navyrev (Flickr name)  these blocks look odd, but all together are kind of cool

for Kristen and the do.good stitches bee

and shoveling out my sewing room, I found these log cabin blocks. Instead of throwing them back in the bin, I sewed them together to make a block. I think I will quilt it and make a mini from it.
I named it 'odd ball'

These are scrappy blocks that I asked for.  When all the blocks arrive and I get this together, it will go to Hospice House

Lastly, I am taking part in a blog hop in September. This is a little peek at what I'm doing with Amanda Jean's new fabric 'Good Neighbors' being released soon.  There are some really cute small scale prints involved .......

Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.  I am off to work : )

I don't know how you keep up with all those bees each month Carla. I'm lucky to get my one block a month done. Plus I need to get my act together on AmandaJean's blog hop project. I'm having trouble deciding.

The red and white block is my favorite (I'm a sucker for anything red). Those hexies are so small. Last night at guild, there was a package of hexie papers that were only 1/4". Not sure I could have even held them, much less tried to put fabric on them and stitch them.

All your blocks are lovely. The 'oddball' idea made me laugh.

Teensy Weensy little hexies! Can't wait to see what comes of those.

Fun to see all your blocks, especially the "odd ball" block (reminds me of Rene's Bee Block). Visiting here is always an inspiration. Happy end of summer!

I am in Colorado but from Madison, Wisconsin (where I learned to quilt from a group of Japanese women) and have lived in many other places....but miss the camaraderie of my Wisconsin quilting and knitting friends.
I love your use of the mini Hexi's for the pin cushions ...I find it so relaxing to make those . You can see the mini quilt I am working on with paper piecing on my instagram page "Justfiveminutes2015"
Where are you from?
