A SHOWER FOR BABY

Yesterday was so much fun.  I had the privilege of hosting another baby shower for my newest grandson. My daughter in laws and my daughter helped me pull it together. I decided the theme would be hunting seeing as though my son really likes that.  We had fun putting the table decor together.

One of my daughter in laws is very talented at putting together little displays.   Those are deer droppings in the bowl : )    She included the reversible flannel pants I made and hung a hat from the antlers. All the ladies thought it was lovely.

I first made a tiny pair of socks out of a variegated skein I had in my stash.  The pair didn't really match when I was done, but I knew once the hat was finished,  it would make sense

Cute just the same. The pattern for the socks is from Churchmouse yarns.  The hat worked up fairly quick

I found a bag of handmade buttons at a thrift store and knew they would come in handy sometime.

Then this flannel came into the shoppe where I work and oh I just had to have some!  I made a pair of reversible pants using the Quick Change Trousers pattern by Anna Maria Horner.  They turned out so cute and are so very soft.  The hat was a perfect match which was kind of a fluke.  Lastly I found a little pair of Camo boots.  I'm not sure who loved it more.......Mom or Dad : )

The little knits are a perfect fit.  Happy Gramma

There was music!  My other little grandson loves to hear his daddy play guitar

there was food of course

excuse the plastic wrap

..........and just one more of my daughter having a little snuggle.
It was a lovely day and we are truly blessed with these little boys

Oh Carla....what a wonderful day. I love what you created. Those flannel pants look fabulous too.

That little guy is so cute. Don't you wish you could keep him little like that?

Who says socks have to match anyway.....they are cute. Your shower looks like oodles of fun and so many pretties to delight the eye. Your daughter-in-law's table looks very cool. Love those flannel pants of yours; that fabric is very hip and those camo boots....too, too cute!! Your grandson looks totally unaware of how adorable he looks...'sleeping just like a baby'....wearing his Gramma's very cool, woolly knits.

You found those cute buttons in a thrift store?!
I think the socks and hat are a winning combo. It is a shame his tiny feet and head will grow out of them so soon. :)

Your little knits are gorgeous and everything at the shower looks just perfect. You and your family are a great team - you should hire yourselves out for events! And, last but not least, your grandchildren are SO adorable. I see many knits and quilts in their futures :)
