METRO AREA MONTH 8

Happy April !  Hurray for warmer weather and all the 'happy' that spring brings : )  I hope you are enjoying sewing these blocks as much as I am.  Some are more challenging, but fun just the same.

Pinks and reds this month.  It turns out red is really hard to photograph.  It turns bright orange or some other weird colour, but you get the idea anyway

I'm zooming in for a close up here because I was really happy with my points on this block.  Pressing the seams open helped with all that bulk

Little 1" squares.  Love them

I am off to work again : )

Have a lovely week end
Carla

cool & modern, I love them. I especially like the colors and design of the pink/grey/black one.

Those look great. I find purple is the same way with the camera.

Nicely done! I so agree about photographing reds, especially with my iPhone. They just rebel, but I can imagine them. Fun to see your progress!

Lovely blocks, Carla. Your points are amazing and those itty bitty 1" squares are wow! Have a fun day at that little yarn shop of yours.

Cute blocks. Stephanie P. is sending me her leftover scraps from her blocks and I plan on starting. Soon. Really.

Happy April to you too. Love your blocks.

Your blocks are looking great! It's funny how some colours don't photograph well! I seem to have trouble with greens!

Your blocks are looking so good. I find reds and purples hard to photograph. Those latest MCM red churn dash blocks for Linda were very hard to photograph with all the intense red.

Oh... once again, lovely blocks!! (Here is where I went into way too much detail on why reds are hard to photograph and then deleted it all because... it's really not important. They are hard to capture though.) And can we all just sit and admire those points for a moment?! Those are amazing!!!

You are making me ever so tempted to bust out this book. "Focus, Afton, focus!" Must not start more projects...Your blocks are so pretty with the contrast of black and white & monochromatic.
