What a fun day we had : ) Saturday was World Wide Knit in Public day and I was fortunate to be able to host it at my shop.
These were the first to arrive
There was lots of knitting and chatter throughout the day.
The night before, I was getting my nails done and telling the girl about the knitting in public day and she asked if I would like a ball of yarn on one nail. Well...yes I would !
I also had cupcakes made for the occasion with knitting needles on top
I managed a picture before they were all gobbled up : )
My only finish for the week is this little veggie hat. I think I'll call it a beet.
What about you? Did you participate in Knit in Public day? I'm thinking maybe Kim did : )
Enjoy your week.

Hey Carla, looks like such a fun day. Love the creativity of your nails, your cakes and your hat. I didn't knit yesterday but I knitted the day before and today. You can check out my Friday finish on this blog post here, if you wish. http://kittenstitching.blogspot.com.au/2016/06/overdue-overdue-overdue.html

Looks like you all had a fun day. Love the knitting needles on the cupcakes and your ball of wool on your nail. What fun!
How cute those cupcakes are, and your nail. For this non-knitting/crocheting gal, I've been reading a knitting murder mystery.
How clever! Lover the fingernail paint job and those adorable cupcakes. I had no idea they had a day like that.
That looks like a lot of fun, especially your nails and the cupcakes.
Looks like good fun, love your nails and cupcakes too. The beet hat is gorgeous. Hope everything is going well x
That sounds like a fun event you hosted with your nails and the cakes. Knitting in public is fairly usual here but it's a nice idea to have a special day :)
An adorable hat, very cute beet! I love the idea of Worldwide knit in public day, but it almost always falls on my husband's birthday, oddly. But I try to sneak in some knitting while spending time with him and the kids!
Looks like a lot of fun! Love your orange nail polish with the yarn ball and the kitting needles on the cupcakes are fabulous!! The red yearn of the beet hat is so rich and lovely!!
Happy knitting!

Darn it (lol), I think I missed it. Oh well, the sock knitting during swimming lessons will continue this week...
