NOVEMBER IN REVIEW (and a give-away)

Does time fly if we are having fun, or as we get older ???  I think both.  November is nearly done and we all know what that means.

*******a little business to start. There were a few comments last post about the slippers etc that I couldn't reply to because you have no e-mail address on your google account. Nothing. Zip. I tried, I really did : (   I will do a proper post soon and include a link to the pattern ok?

I changed my window out again for the season.  This was a lot of fun.  My son welded me a little girl out of re-bar that I could dress up in winter things.  I love her.

A view from outside

Who doesn't love a smiling snowman? I try to make the shop look warm and inviting

These little cards were designed especially for my shop by Kody Stewart Illustrations.  Little knitty note cards.  So cute!

My time doing bee blocks is nearly over.  These ones are going to be for a comfort quilt.

and Anne wanted B's for her quilt. This one will be fun

My needles are rarely idle while sitting. This little sweater is for a friends niece who is having a baby in December. A little boy. I will make a hat to match which will finish off his outfit nicely : )

Did you like the note cards?  How about a chance to win a half dozen. 2 of each design.
Leave me a comment to be entered and how about tell me how your Christmas prep is coming?

Make sure I can get ahold of you : )

Have a fabulous week!
Carla

I love note cards. Presents are almost done (thank goodness), and, we aren't going to do much decorating this year. I finally finished the signature wedding quilt for my son and daughter in law. Put the final stitches in the binding yesterday. Now to see if I can get some good photos. Thanks again for the idea.

The note cards are adorable. My daughter just started knitting and would love them. She's probably the only one that I'm ready for Christmas. The boys are hard. Otherwise, I'm still in Thanksgiving mode, and won't go whole hog in Christmas prep until the weekend.

Good morning Carla, how you find the time to do it all but you do and you do it all so beautifully, like those cards!! I have made head/ear warmers for both my girls for Christmas along with fingerless mitts, now maybe a toque for each of our grandsons.

Love the cards! Perfect gift for a knitter. Christmas prep? Hmmm....I have a list and I'm checking it off. Slowly but surely. :)

The cards are adorable. I'm working on a couple of Christmas gifts, and very soon we will be decorating the house. I'm hosting an ornament exchange on Dec 5th, so we will been in full Christmas mode by then :-)

You definitely succeeded in making your window look inviting. If I walked by I would definitely stop in. The baby sweater is adorable! Love the color. Christmas prep? Let's talk about our Thanksgiving prep, first. I'm finishing up some cleaning and baby- and toddler-proofing in preparation for three little grands to arrive on Wednesday. On Wednesday I'll bake pies, clean the turkey, prepare the bread for stuffing.... And then I'll think about Christmas preparations. The drawings on those cards are adorable. Thanks for offering the giveaway.

The note card are adorable! I have not done much for Christmas yet. I did get a table runner and start using it. I forget from one year to the next what things look like. I did enjoy seeing it again. Thank you, peterstankovich@comcast.net

I spy some other fun Carla creations in that shop window, too. It really looks festive! I'd love a chance to win some notecards, as I have several friends who are knitters. Thank you for that chance to win these custom-designed cards (you never cease to amaze me). Stay warm--wear knitteds!

Your cards are super cute, such a great touch to add to a knitted gift...I'm busy knitting and sewing away with a few handmade Christmas gifts and I'm itching to get outside and decorate my entrance way in the next day or two...and by next week the inside! I love Christmas decor! I love your window...too bad there isn't room to put a few bistro tables and chairs in the warmer weather so we could sit outside and admire it while we sip Starbucks 😉

Wish oh wish I could press my nose on your window and have a bo peep inside and then walk into the homey and warm ambience and sit awhile.....and even knit a stitch or two. =) Your shop window looks a treat. All you need now is the snow! As for preparations for the season......nothing happening down here. =)

My Christmas prep has barely started. I'll be baking cookies every night for 2 straight weeks at this rate, never mind the homemades to finish up and the bit of actual shopping I have to do!

I am half way through knitting 4 sparkly party cardigans for my granddaughters. They need to be done by December 14th when we will all be together for the weekend. Eldest daughter and family are flying to Canada for Christmas so this is the last time we will see them before the holiday. Otherwise, I have bought my cards and crackers but no presents yet! I'll have to get a move on.
Your shop looks wonderful too.

Great job in your window display!!! I love all the note cards but especially the one with the bicyclist, very sweet.

The cards are darling and I LOVE your window! My buying is nearly done but I'm way behind in making....I don't know why I did that! That's the way it's gone though.

Christmas prep is happening a little at a time.

I think the note cards are adorable! As is the scrumptious little sweater. Oh goodness ~ I have done zero (ZERO!) Christmas prep : / We are smack in the middle of building a house (as in we are contracting it ourselves, plus doing a good portion of the work in order to save money) and I am having a really hard time devoting even a thought to anything festive. My youngest (7) hung a strand of Christmas lights over a doorway this weekend, and I asked my husband if he thought we could get away with that being our sole decoration...

Happy making ~ Tracy

The cards are wonderful. I am in the home stretch. 20 ornaments to go, 1 quilt to bind, 1 quilt to quilt. I can do it.

I moved, with help, the 63 boxes, 11 bin bags, and five pictures down from our loft to the living room. Now I need to move all my pottery and paintings up. I love the whole process which takes about two weeks.

The cards are very sweet.

Thanks for the opportunity to win.

No Christmas prep yet (other than buying gifts) but I did purchase a couple of charm square packs and I have plans of making a couple of Christmas wall hangings for my family. They are easy and look amazing - well, the pattern does. The cards are absolutely perfect. How lucky you are to have someone design them specifically for your shop.

That little jumper is darling.
Yes, I love the notecards. My Christmas prep is not going at all, although I started knitting a cushion cover that I very much doubt I will finish in time to give it for Christmas.
I went to the shopping centre today to do some Christmas shopping. I failed to buy a gift (but a plan is forming) and I bought myself some new summer clothes. :(

I have a few projects on my needles at the moment. I just finished a baby cardigan with raglan sleeves. I was sad to have missed your workshop but challeneged myself to try a pattern on my own. It was a success! Also am trying lace for the first time and attempting to knit a cowl. That I may need help with. This week I have been helping my son's grade 5/6 class with their knitting project - a blanket. Each student is knitting a square that can be crocheted together. The class will donate the blanket to a senior at a local home. These note cards are super cute. Your window displays are always so wonderful. Thanks for bringing a little cheer and wonder to the neighbourhood. Thanks Elaine @eastcoastlaine

After an eleven day trip to Ireland I immediately was unexpectedly in the hospital for five days. My Christmas projects are non-existent .

The notelets are so cute... subtle and whimsical. If they were designed solely for you it would have been a good idea to have your shop name somewhere, incorporated into the design eg., on a wool label or on a leaflet in the basket.
Your shop window looks so enticing and inviting that I would not be able to pass by! I bet it looks super when it's dark and lit up.

Good morning! Looks like I found your blog just in time to enter a draw - how fun! If I won those adorable cards, I would frame them and hang one set on my office wall, The other set would be framed and gifted to a friend. So lovely to meet you on line ( even though we've met in person, lol, but you wouldn't remember.) Have a lovely day. :)

I LOVE those little note cards! Thanks for giving some away!
I started my Christmas shopping... I've bought one gift! I have a good excuse though - I'm knitting some, AND my daughter had a baby last Thursday (son #2!), so we stayed at their house for a few days to watch our firstborn grandson. We're SO blessed!
The tree will go up next week - outside lights when we get a warm-ish day.

Christmas prep? I haven't even started.

If I start too early I'll just eat all the cookies, right?

It was nice to stop by and catch up with you. Your shop window is so inviting and I would be stopping by for sure if I lived closer. I am just beginning my sewing and shopping but have been inspired by my visit with you today.
