AN ARROW FLIMSY

Finally, this top is done! Back in May it was my turn to receive blocks from the Mid Century Modern group I am in. I asked them for arrow blocks using my tutorial. If they wanted, they could send a feather block instead.  I arranged and re-arranged and fretted over the layout of this quilt. I asked certain family members their opinion so many times, that they started to hide when they heard me calling their names........

Anyway, this is the layout I decided on

I was a bit concerned while filling in the background with low volume fabrics that it might be too busy. I nearly scrapped the whole thing, but my daughter said "Mom just keep going!"

Now that it's together I'm quite pleased with it and really glad I did      : )

Some of the ladies sent me signature blocks and I found a way to include them

Carla sent me this little arrow and I just had to include it too

I did a google search of Navajo rugs and this pattern was in one so I made a block using half square triangles just to give it a little something extra

I haven't a clue how I am going to quilt this, but for now I'm going to work on something more mindless----like hexagons  : )

I am enamoured with how this has turned out so far... I kept seeing all the blocks pop up around the web. All the low-volume backgrounds work so well (always a bit of a risk in a bee) but then, you've got an exceptional group of ladies in yours.

I have no idea how you're going to quilt that but I'm sure looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
