Quite some time ago, I started working on the blocks from Tula Pink's book 100 Modern Blocks.
Like most projects, it got lost in the shuffle somewhere. Cindy has started a sort of quilt along where we choose which project we are going to purpose to work on. It's called "Choose your own block- along"
I thought of these blocks right away , especially after seeing she is doing the same ones. Perhaps with each others help, we can get this quilt done : )
So, this week I made a few more
Here they are all together. I'm nearly a quarter of the way there
It's been fun reviving this project and I think the accountability will really help me keep at it
Is there a quilt you want to revive? Why not join us. The more the merrier : )

Those look so pretty!
EEk. I have that book and I think I've made one block. I think it will be the first thing I start after all of the Christmas/fall birthday gifts are made. I never get tired of seeing everyone's block progress so I think that means I need to get a move on and make them myself.
Your city sampler blocks are so pretty! Such a nice variety of blocks and fabric combinations. So glad you are joining in on the block along. Don't forget, there's also a Flickr group.
Wow! How wonderful do all your blocks look all sitting there ever so pretty all together. Keep on keeping on, Carla.
Your blocks, all lined up, are an inspiration! Glad that Cindy's Block A Long is helping you reach a goal. (Now I need to get working on some of mine!).

Very nice Carla....Love the colours! And I can't wait to see it finished!
Beautiful blocks Carla. I love the fabrics you have chosen. It is going to be a fabulous quilt.
Beautiful blocks and gorgeous fabrics :)
Oops! you are catching up to me, I'd better dig out my stack of blocks, book and fabric and continue on! LOL
great job, Carla
Very pretty blocks!
I must get back to mine - if I can find them!! These are lovely - let's do it!
So much fun to see your blocks!
We have a Tula Pink Quilt Along in Germany going on right now.
So I see the city sampler blocks everywhere :-)
I pick this book up every. single. time. I go to the quilt store. I need to get my feet under me a little more... but this post reminds me why it needs to be on my "one day" list! Your blocks are gorgeous!
Very fun . . . keep at it.
This quilt is going to be stunning!
I have never seen this book in the flesh. It is only from looking at your blocks that I realise that crosses are the unifying theme of many blocks. It looks like fun to make.
oh these are just lovely! I hope you enjoy making them as much as I did!
gorgeous blocks, they look amazing! So bright and happy.
I opened your blog today and it said block 21 and I decided this morning that I wanted to make block 21 first as it looks fast and easy and I didn't have a lot of time. I love these blocks and now I'm inspired to get started seeing yours.
This is so inspiriting. I keep seeing beautiful Tula block and I really want to try one! Your colors are amazing.
These are really pretty! I have been doing two a week but I think I want to speed things up a bit.
Very nice. You're going to have to get a bigger display board. ;)
They look amazing together!
Beautiful blocks!
