This week I am linking up with Cindy for the Choose your own block--along. I decided at the start that my blocks for this quilt along will be the Tula Pink's City Sampler because I really want this quilt
Here are this week's blocks
also, I want to be working on these scrappy blocks regularly. Two more were made
for a total of six.
I'm not sure how big I will go with this, but there are already 294 squares used from my scrap bins. Yay! I'm happy that my scrap bins are actually a bit neater after going through them. I have a long way to go yet though : )

Those blocks are gorgeous! I love the fabrics you are using.
I also really like those scrap blocks. Those aqua centers make such a great accent in the middle.
That scrap vomit quilt block has been on my list for eons . . . .
You've made great progress this week! I adore those City Sampler fabrics and I just love a scrappy block quilt. I've been piecing 1 1/2" scrappy blocks as Leader/Enders while working on my Dear Jane blocks. They grow quickly.
Loving both of your projects! Tula's book is on my wish list!
Totally love your blocks! I have Tula’s book, but still too many projects on the go, to start yet another quilt...
Great colours for the Tula Pink quilt and I love your scrappy blocks too.
Lovely fabric choices.
Perfect blocks and love the fabric choices.
Love Tula's blocks!!! it's like the Farmer's Wife Sampler, takes some perseverance LOL! I need to get back to mine.
Yay for another City Sampler! Loving your fabrics!
Everyone seems to be jumping on the Tula bandwagon! (Not me). It's kind of fun seeing the blocks in all the different fabric choices.
I think the Scrap Vomit quilts are a lot of fun. I made one and was thinking about a second one. The grandkids like to play I spy with them because I used a lot of novelties.
Good luck on your projects!
Loooovveee the Tula blocks!!
Love what you're doing with the scrappy blocks.
Loving your City Sampler blocks!
Is that a bit if cotton and steel I see in those blocks! Looking good.
Okay I need to get to my sewing machine right now and make some more City Sampler blocks - except I'm away at the moment. Gahhh Yours are gorgeous and I love your tiny square blocks.
Loving your scrappy blocks, Carla!
Aha! Another clever scrap idea! I like how the regular pattern adds a unifying element to an otherwise random quilt.
Congrats too on the prize over at Crazy Mom Quilts. I spotted your name in the list of prize winners. Hurrah!
I love the black and aqua that you're using in your scrappy blocks quilts. It's looking good!
your scrappy blocks are just gorgeous!!! well done! :)
Both projects look fabulous...great job Carla!
Your blocks are all gorgeous, Carla. And I especially love those scrappy trip blocks. Looking good!
The City Sampler blocks are beautiful. And the scrappy blocks! I have always wanted to make one of those quilts. I certainly have enough scraps....
I just had to pop in and take a peek at your City Sampler blocks ~ LOVE the fabrics you've picked, very pretty!
I love your version of block no. 26!
Your Tula blocks look great, and I like the consistent use of aqua and black to tie together the scrappy trip top.
