Rosette 2 started like this. Some aqua and plum
then a bit more
and still more
and a final round of aqua. Lots of stitching to do yet, but that's the easy part : )
I like where I'm headed with this now. Each block sounds more delicious than the last. Turquoise/aqua and orange, turquoise and text print, turquoise and lime green.
This second one doesn't go against the first one, so I think it will look ok in the quilt. So looking forward to #3 !

What a lovely vibrant block. The idea of repeating a colour will really work well to pull all of the blocks together! I must get started on my rosette before the next one comes along!

I think you are right to stick to a group of colours. No matter what happens with the different shapes, they should play nicely together.
I really liked your comment about "the sewing is the easy part." No kidding! I've been stumped on Rosette One's outer border for at least a week, but now I think I'm making progress.
I really appreciate your posting about your quilt (and yes, i joined the FB and the Flickr group) as seeing one done up helps crystalize for me what works and what doesn't. This one is looking good--love the fabric your've chosen!
