A PROJECT / DIAPER BAG

The other night, I took a class and made my first bag. Insert happy face here!  This bag was designed to hold a 15" square plastic tote, but I decided to scale it back a bit and make mine into a diaper bag.
It's still pretty big,  but it needs to be  : )

I just love this text print.  It's a heavier weight and worked perfect for the bag. The bottom is a linen stripe

Inside I put a zipper pocket and a couple of other pockets to hold necessities....

like diapers and such

Once again, I sewed up a pair of reversible pants

and the back.  So cute!!! These are Organic cottons from Birch Fabrics and the pattern is Quick Change Trousers from the book Handmade Beginnings

I'm thrilled with how the bag came out.  Thanks Barb for a fun class.  Just a few more weeks and I can gift it to Mommy : )

stats:
15 x 15 x 7
made by me

Love the bag, so roomy and practical, and the little pair of pants. There is something just so adorable about toddlers clothes.

Great bag! I made my own from fun fabric in the day, and a bunch of others for friends. If you have to carry around a diaper bag, it may as well be fun fabric!

Congratulations on the success of your first bag making session. I have yet to make any kind of pouch or bag. And those little pants? Just so sweet!!!

Such a great diaper bag. When I was toting babies, I wanted a big one so I could rid of my purse (I used zipper pockets inside) as why carry two things when one would do? Love your choice of fabrics! Those pants are the cutest ever. What a fun grandma you are :)

The striped linen is lovely. I am sure the mum will appreciate a stylish, grown-up bag to carry about kiddy things.
