DISTRACTIONS

As I've mentioned here before, I'm easily distracted  : )  I should be finishing quilts, but I've got the knitting bug again and there just aren't enough hours in the day to do it all. Recently I finished off the little hat I was making for my soon to be grandson.  The little shoes were a thrift store find

My co-worker Barb brought me this lovely skein of yarn all the way from Amsterdam.  It was so nice to work with. I'm excited I've got lots left for something else

Quiltmania has been a favourite magazine for a very long time.  I managed to get my hands on the Spring 2015 issue and there is a quilt in there I am dying to make..........but not yet.  I did however start a different project from the issue

more english paper piecing

which led to this little sunflower.  My 'accordion' stem needs some work.......

Oh and then there's this

This is a quarter of a circle.  It took a while to piece, but I love how it came out.  Three more sections to go, then I will show you the whole thing.

Hope you get lots of sewing time  : )

*****Thanks so much for all the nice comments on my house quilt.  I'm really looking forward to the real finish : )  I've had a few people comment lately that I can't reply to.  I do try each time, but if there is no e-mail on your profile page, then I just can't find you.     : (

That little cap is so sweet. I love your sunflower too. Are you doing It's a Small World? That's a lot of little pieces for that log block!!

That knitting! How amazing! And the shoes were a thrift store find?! Way to go! Grandma of the Year award goes to you! The flower looks great and your stem looks perfect to me. Can't wait to see the final result!

The hat is adorable. The flower is incredible... and that orange and gray block?! Swoon-worthy!!

But inquiring minds want to know if you are joining the Small World QAL?!?! That's so, so tempting... but completely beyond my time allowance right now. So I'll live vicariously through you, ok?! That is, if you are doing it??? ;-)

Such sweet quilt blocks! Love the twist on the log cabin!

Such a precious hat! Those shoes! They look so much like a little man's shoes.

The little hat is so sweet and the shoes are too cute for words! I love to see colour on babies.

I'll be that that tiny log cabin block took a long time to make. It is perfect and I can't wait to see it put together with whatever comes next!

I love this PP block... I know it was a lot of work with all those little snippits, but so worth the effort. Very lovely WIP's.

Those shoes are simply adorable and the cute little hat co-ordinates so well/ It does look like yummy yarn.
I think that the flower would make a gorgeous birthday gift with a plain fabric backing
... just stick one in a house plant or a bunch of flowers.

Loving each of the projects you have on the go here. You certainly have a knack for choosing colours well and an eye for design.

Ooooo .... that orange circle is going to be so visual!!! And so many pieces :) Love the little EPP flower. As usual, you've chosen the perfect fabrics to make it a very happy flower indeed. And that little baby cap just makes my heart sing, while the tiny shoes make me nostalgic for my own little boy - who's now 36 years old with two little boys of his own :*)

I love the flower. Isn't it fun to flit from project to project as the whim takes you? It doesn't matter; they all get done in good time.

I can relate to the distractions. Knitting is one of mine as well. Looking forward to seeing your finished "bubble". Very cute flower. I always love your colourways.

Cute baby items! I love your sunflower block! I have that magazine so should look into that one. I like where your orange block is going! :-)))

Lovely baby beanie! The yarn is so warm colour, and the autumn-ey coloured boots go perfectly with it!

Everything looks terrific--esp. those shoes with that cute knitted hat. Rene's block is coming along nicely, as is your other project there--so glad you can make use of two things from that pricey magazine!
