THE FINAL BLOCKS

This is it.  Together we have pieced 75 blocks.  Lots of templates, cutting and a little ripping brings us to the end of our year.  Here are the last two sets of blocks

We had a holiday here so I actually had time to sew.  I started sewing the blocks into rows and I got this far

excuse the clutter---the other side is worse : /
Two more rows of blocks and then borders. Yay!

I had the most gorgeous order of yarn come in last week, and ever since I have been craving cheesecake.  This is Lichen and Lace from Sackville New Brunswick.  I drooled for 3 days, and then I caved in.  It was worth it.

............and this picture is for Karen lol!

Summer!!!!

Happy stitching,
Carla

Hi, Carla, well done on your blocks, a little too modern for me but I admit, they will look nice in the quilt. Your new order of yarn is scrumptious and I can see how you would think of cheesecake. Love the blackberries, yum!

Wow!!! That's a lot of blocks. I love the range of colors with the black and white. Very striking. I also want a piece of that cheesecake. It's my favorite dessert.

I always love seeing your blocks in progress - what will I do now that they are done???? And don't suggest making my own - my schedule's so full it needs it's own schedule! Absolutely loving that yarn and wishing I had more time to knit. I'm plugging along on a cowl and will finish it soon - already enjoying thinking about what will go on the needles next :*)
