DO.GOOD STITCHES

If you follow a number of blogs, you have probably noticed people making blocks for different groups they have joined. Recently I joined an on-line quilting bee called Scrappy?Sew be it. Also, I received an invitation to join HEAL at Do.Good Stitches.  This particular group makes blocks for one member each month. That person will then make the blocks into a quilt, and donate it to hospice.
These are my first two blocks for the group.

Melissa asked for star blocks in all solids. I got a wonderful roll of springy solids from Katja's and got to work. She also asked for the seams to be pressed open. This I had never done before. I had a little trouble lining up my seams, but it came together alright.
These two 12 inch blocks will be whisked off to the states, where they will be lovingly sewn into a quilt to comfort someone in Hospice. I am so pleased to be part of something like this.

Also this past week-end was my daughters grad. I will show you just one picture of her and her friend, before leaving for their photo shoot : )

okay, and one with two of her brothers   ( I think her hair had come unglued)
