BEE BLOCKS AND A NEW STASH BUILDER

This month, the shop where I work started a new program called 'Modern Stash Builder'. Every month, those who sign up will receive 4 fat quarters of the newest modern fabrics that arrive at the shop.

This months stash : Sweet Harmony

As it turns out, Ella asked for Aqua and Coral for this month's blocks in the Heal group of do.good stitches.

I got to cut into my new stash right away  : )

I was asked to make a 12", 9", and 6" traditional block. I made two of each size because I'm doing an extra set for someone this month.

I thought a 9" block would look cute made up of 1" squares. Had I thought ahead a bit I would have realized that meant 81 little squares. Duh!

This rolling diamonds blocks is a new favourite

Here they are, all lined up on the shelf.  I think I will look at these for a couple more days before I pop them in the mail.  I love this combination.

Have a lovely Monday.

Great color combo! They look so pretty lined up on the shelf.
An 81 patch eh? It looks very cute, like a mini postage stamp quilt. Just pressing all those seams would have slayed me though :)

Beautiful blocks! I recognize the "modern roses" fabric line. I am making a postage stamp quilt for someone using a jelly roll of that line - love it!

The rolling diamond block seems popular lately; as I've seen it on a few blogs. Your blocks on the shelf look really fresh yet warm and your blocks are really well executed :-)

The colors are gorgeous. I just finished a postage Christmas quilt with 875 2.5" squares. It's work but I love the results. Your block is really pretty. Well, they all are but I really like the tiny squares.

Hi Carla , love your blocks!
Where is the wool shop you found in Victoria?

You didn't even give the fabric a chance to age a little! Good for you.

And I love that shelf!
Of course, I love the blocks, too. How fun that your shop does this four fat quarters event; I'd show up every month to get mine!

I love all the designs and love how they all coordinate together--so beautiful!

So you should love this combination! They look beautiful and well made.
(I may be biased as I wore a coral shirt with turquoise shoes and jewellery yesterday. :) )

Really lovely, Carla, all lined up on the shelf!

Beautiful colours. Gosh, I'd be tempted to keep the blocks on the shelf as soothing inspirational artwork! Having said that, the quilt itself will be a functional work of art.

Your blocks and your fabrics are fantastic! I think I'll have to start collecting some of those colors (or discovering that I already have them in my stash)!

I 'sew; love your fabrics and your blocks are so neat with perfect edges as well. I do pretty good in the middle of my blocks, but those edges are....well they aren't always even....giggle.
