LA ROSETTE

My first Rosette is finished and my fingers hate me  : )   The New Hexagon Millefiorie Quilt Along has exploded this past month to over 1600 hexie lovers signed up to stitch along, and over 1000 stitchers joining the Facebook page in about 2 1/2 weeks. Wow.

It's all so very fun!

This is the first and biggest rosette measuring 37" at the widest point.

I didn't think too much about colour until I got to the outer edge. I couldn't decide on what to put there until I found this teal dot in my stash. It seemed to work. I need to consider what block will be up against it and plan from there

The little corners lined up pretty good so I'm happy about that

I took myself out for a little retail therapy and came home with these pretties.

Indelible has been on my 'want' list for a long time.  The top piece is called 'Cherie'.  Love.

I'm hoping to be able to incorporate these into a rosette or two and I think I just might pull it off  : )

Instructions for Rosette #2 will be posted on the first of February.  Bring. It. On.

Loving the colors in your first rosette and your fabric choices. Very beautiful, I can not believe that is all hand stitched! Amazing!

Lovely! Those new fabrics should blend quite nicely. I have resisted this QAL furiously. So totally overcommitted last year (thanks to IG, blogging, Pinterest LOL) that I have pulled right back this year. I need to finish a few things.

Holy cow!! That is so stunning! (And large!) I absolutely adore the fussy cut birds. While I love it overall… those make me swoon. Gorgeous. (And I covet your new fabric!)

WOW! And I'm proud of me for just making a couple of hexie flowers. It would take me FOREVER to get that huge piece done.

Wonderful cheery colours! I hear you, between madly trying to finish this block by the 31st and the knitting my right thumb has split! Owie, but some polysporin and a band-aid and I soldier on!

You are impressing me lots with your hexies! You must have lots of staying power or hexie power!! Love, love, love hexies.

This is so beautiful, Carla. I just love it. I am using it for inspiration for mine, I hope you don't mind. I hope to use some of my tula fabrics. I can't believe how fast you got this done. I bet I'm not done with block one by March. LOL.

So pretty! Now I want to grab my EPP project stash and start. Maybe I could chuck my plan and make rosettes like this instead. I must finish other WIPs first. Ugh.
