.....they can go really bad.  I was running behind last month because it seems someone took out a few of the days.  Last time I checked, it was June : )

This block is (was) for Simone.  She asked for coloured words pieced in different colours.  I pieced this one in a dark purple as requested, and with a white background. Or so I thought.

When I went digging through my whites to piece another block, I discovered that the white I used wasn't really the stark white she had wanted. It's slightly off.  Back to the drawing board : (

Remember these blocks?  I was so happy with how they turned out. Especially my 'e'. They never arrived in Australia.  In all the years I have been swapping bee blocks I don't think that's ever happened.

Susan has been so patient. I have started making them again.

I love me some log cabin blocks. I'm late with these.  These were fun. Fun enough that I made some for myself too. It seemed easier to make blocks than to clean up my scraps. True story

Lastly these blocks are for this month. Yay!  Mary wanted watery colours with a 'white' background.
I think I got these right

I've got to say, running a business takes ALL the time.  I don't have much time for anything else. It's still fun though and I'm glad I took the plunge : )

Happy stitching!

Oh darn that's too bad about the color and the mail...I'm glad you are still able to do some sewing and one day you will hopefully be so successful you will have staff to take some of the days for you 😊

Oh dear, you haven't had much luck with bee blocks, have you Carla!? Surely the yellow/purple block would have worked for Simone!? I love those watery blocks for Mary! That's going to be a very striking quilt! Thank you for re-doing mine....that really wasn't necessary!

I can't say how many times I've mixed up my whites! Who would have thought there were so many different variations of white?! There is nothing you can do or could have done to make sure your blocks made it to Australia after they were popped in the mail! Gremlins sometimes take over!! Hopefully the next month of bee blocks go off without a hitch!

My goodness you've had an "interesting" month! One of those 'back up and punt' type of months LOL!!! Although I'm sure you weren't laughing while in the process of redoing all those blocks. I can only imagine how upset you were to find out your blocks were lost in the mail! As for mixing up the whites, that happens to me all the time - also with blacks. Who would have thought there could be so many different shades of white or black? Reminds me of the song "A Whiter Shade of Pale" that I loved when a teen. Never understood (or cared) what that meant back then though LOL!

Oh goodness. How very frustrating!! Especially when your sewing time is already severely limited... I recently sent a quilt off to it's recipient, and gosh was I nervous! I spent $20 to insure it, on top of the $27 it took to mail. (UGh - I hate postage fees. seems like throwing money away)
Perhaps you'll be able to use your purple yellow block (that cracks me up, btw) for something?
I hope the shop is doing well!! And that all bee blocks make it to their destinations (in a timely manner) ~ Tracy

Sorry to hear about your blocks never arriving. I always worry when sending packages out that they may never show up. I hope that things start working in your favor, it's always frustrating when nothing is working. But, I do love the log cabin blocks you are working on. Great colors!

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you had with those bee blocks - but on the other hand it feels so good to read about it because it doesn't make me wonder if it's only me who is making mistakes ;-))) You sewed lovely blocks and it's great that you are still participating in those bee groups regarding your limitied sewing time!

oh no! Setbacks are inevitable, things happens sometimes, but such a shame about the lost blocks in the post! Glad you are persevering.
