Yesterday my daughter had a dentist appointment. I took along my hexagons so I could baste them while I waited. Has anyone mentioned how portable these little darlings are? I thread basted rather than glueing because I only had my lap to work on. I think I like the way these fabrics will all look together. I am playing with different layouts too.
I will finish this up today and then I will be caught up to everyone. No two quilts will be alike so it's fun to see everyone's colour choices.
Oh! I almost forgot. I did #17 of my farmers wife quilt. This one was much easier than the last one. I didn't have to pick anything out : )
Have a happy quilty week-end.
Oh, I just love your blocks and the fabrics you chose.
Ooooh, your triangles and diamonds are adorable! I was just helping my mom find some paper templates for the diamonds online earlier this week.
I realy like the farmers wife quilt it looks like alot of fun. That block is wonderfuly done.
love your FW block, the fabric is gorgeous.
good work I like the bird fabric xx
beautiful fabric choices - and beautifully executed too
Carla love the english paper piecing. I havent worked on mine for awhile. The fabric choice will be amazing done this way. Hope to get back in the blogging scene soon.
Ahhh, those little birds in the hexies are too cute! I've never done any hand sewing but it's on my long-term to-do list!
The hexes are looking great, Carla. I do both hand basting and gluing - depending on where I am. Gluing is something best done at home - you can get a production line going! Hand basting is more portable, and quite relaxing :)
Love LOVE your fabric choices!
