A FINISHED WEDDING QUILT

The other day I sewed binding until my fingers bled, and with a few weeks to spare,  got the wedding quilt done           : )

I had Linda quilt it and asked her for something "windy".  Look at all that fabulous texture!

While pondering what I was going to do for a gift bag, I was thinking of making something that matched.  The future bride loves burlap so I figured I could try sewing a burlap sack.

I lined it with a reddish brown fabric that I think is very close to her wedding colours, and added a few silk leaves.

I'm quite pleased with it all. The other day I overheard her say she had changed her mind on the satin runners she was going to use on the tables and instead bought some burlap. I think I just may have nailed it!

Neither one of them know I have a blog, so chances of them seeing this are slim. Shhhhh

Such a gorgeous gift you are giving to the lucky couple; one that I am sure they will cherish forever! The 'windy' quilting is superb. It gives an even more floating effect of your gorgeous scattered leaves....and to present this beauty in a burlap bag, complete with silk leaves....'tis a 'perfect marriage'....bellissimo!!

Ah, that quilt is a thing of beauty and of grace and a token of your love and concern for these newlyweds. Beautiful!

I love the bag, too. My daughter is all agog about burlap, too, so perhaps it is something in that generation?

Amazing. Love the quilting too.
