Has this been a long winter, or is it just me? I'm finding myself doing a little more shopping these days to help combat the frigid temperatures. At least it warms my heart : )
These blocks are from the Second Saturday Sampler that Katja is running. If we come that month with our previous month's block done, we get the next one free. So far I've only had to pay the 'fine' once.
On a recent road trip I saw this quilt made up. It was stunning! It's called Cannery Row based on the old fish canneries.
It was all solids and I fell hard. This thing is huge so it may take a while.....
Corey from 'Little Miss Shabby' is designing cross stitched quilt blocks as a stitch along. It's been years since I have done any cross stitch but I couldn't resist the sampler. Block one is 'Swoon'.
........and what's this? Another project. How'd that get there
The colours in this little charm pack drew me in.
More on this one in the near future.
Well as you can see, I've got my work cut out for me. Have a great week everyone.
I foresee a colourful week for you!!
Wonderful projects to help keep your mind off of winter!
You certainly do you have your work cut out for you but it's all fun stuff! I'm envious of the atomic tabby's charm pack. I haven't seen that line around here yet...
All of your new projects are adorable! I really love the Cannery Row one, too -- it's so cool! :)
Life would be so boring without a long list of WIPs, right?
Your solids quilt is going to be gorgeous.
I'm loving the stitch along too! Such a great idea. :) I'm almost finished with the Swoon block.
This is a fabulous list of projects! Have fun and stay warm!
Oh man, I need another cross-stitch sampler like I need a third foot, but it's so cute! I will resist.
A long winter and a hot summer for me! Lots of fun and colour coming up for you Carla!
Glad to see your plans for the week all laid out. Your winter has been exceptionally long and hard, and you have my sympathies for the extreme cabin fever you must be feeling.
It's always fun to read your blog!
So many beautiful projects!
Cannery Row looks stunning already! Have to check out that cross stitch sampler too :)
just know that you are not alone...craft enjoy repeat proceed finish breathe xo
Cannery Row is going to be amazing! And I love the swoon in cross stitch too. Happy Sewing :)
I want the solids quilt; it is so pretty!!! Cannery Row in Monterey is one of our favorite places to visit. Have fun working on all of your projects this week!!!
That,s quite the array of projects you have on the go, Carla! They all look fantastic!
Those are some wonderful fabrics. I think all the white of winter just calls for bright colourful fabrics.
Oh dear, that cat fabric is sort of cute. I admit it, I'm addicted.
Such wonderful projects!
That cat fabric is so adorable!
You just sold me on Cannery Row! I, too, need some color right now and this looks fabulous! Can't wait to see yours finished :)
Oh my! Your fabrics are so tempting!!! Love all the fun prints and those colors - yes, I can see why they sucked you right in :) The solids quilt is going to be a stunner.
Whilst you're stitching all those gorgeous projects, you won't even notice that Spring is knocking on your door!! I hope that Winter is banished to the other end of the globe very soon....ooops what am I saying....I'm in no hurry for the icy grasp of Winter!!
Your blocks are looking great!
I've been using 'I'm on holiday!' as my excuse for a little more shopping than necessary. Looks like you have some fun projects on the go.
Well if you have to pick new projects, you've at least picked some fun ones!!! I have confidence in you....they'll get done....beautifully!
I am drooling all over my keyboard! You have such lovely projects. I love them ALL! Such gorgeous colours and fun designs. No wonder you don't have any sense!
Always the best pictures in your posts. They surely brighten up my day!
Keep the projects coming til you are $en$less! You are an inspiration!
Wow! You've gotta keep your hands movin' to keep up with all these projects! Maybe winter won't be long enough! :-) Have fun with the process. No hurry. No worry.
Your blog title hit me hard! Although I am finishing some projects lately! How big is the solid quilt? Love the cross stitch project!! I may join in!
To answer your question - YES!! Great projects... Atomic Cats is way too cute.
Love your nice crisp flying geese - what a great quilt that is going to be. How big is it?
I'm not a cat person, but that fabric looks super cute!!
Can't wait to see the Atomic Tabby's made up! And cross stitch, way to go!
What a delicious post and I almost missed it! Catching up on my blog reading. Finding winter long too but Jan and Feb always feel like that. Wont get done all that i want to and i loose my momentum.
I agree with your theory that shopping will (hopefully!) combat the temperatures - and I live in Ont., where it's that much colder! I love that Cannery Row pattern, but what really got my heart pit-a-patting was that Atomic Tabby fabric!
The solids for cannery row are stunning! Looking forward to seeing that quilt grow! Atomic Kitty, must find this fabric ;)
What amazing work you do! I can't wait to see how "Cannery Row" turns out!
always enjoy seeing what you are working on.
