Wednesday was a fun day. A friend and I got together to each make a Tuffet. The instructions were in this book Quilt Love.
I used a heavier weight home dec fabric that I thought looked a little like a Kate Spain print.
The top was meant to have an octagon sewn on but Dawn suggested a hexi flower. Love it!
The most fiddly part was sewing on the hexagon. Other than that, it was pretty straight forward.
Just to give you an idea of how big this is, I found a wool batting that filled a large green garbage bag. I used all of it, plus a bag of polyfil.
Here it is in the nursery patiently waiting for Little Miss Muffet #1 and #2 to come for a visit : )
Dawn had to leave before hers was finished but I will try to get a picture of it. She used Lily and Wil fabrics by Moda. I'm quite pleased with it and will most likely make another. Could be a cute gift sometime.
Enjoy your week-end.

Tuffet is such a lovely word and it's a really beautiful tuffet!
It's so cute, and I love that its' actually in a "muffet's" room. :-)
How cute is that??? I love it!!! Those fabrics really highlight the lines of the design too - great job!
I love it! Might need to make some of these sometime!
that's so cute Carla!
Fabulous tuffet - didn't know that was what it's called ;) and the nursery looks very inviting!
Excellent tuffet! :-) The hexy flower was a great idea.
Was wondering what a tuffet was...now i know, ad I want one!
That's adorable. And I love the hexie flower!
I'm sure the girls will love it!
I'm sure the little Miss Muffets will love their tuffets.
I know I do!
It turned out beautifully Carla!

Very cute indeed!
Ha! Now this I love. Great fabric!
Hi Carla! That is fantastic! Beautiful fabrics and all the room looks so lovely! Great idea to add the hexie flower. x Teje
Cute little tuffet! I won't tell you what we call these here!
Love it. I want one and will put that on my list to do. Thanks for sharing.
This is so cute, Carla! I love that flower on top!
Sooooo cute!! I fear that you will have to make another tuffet when Little Miss Muffet 1 & 2 come avisiting...they will 'need' to have their own!! Oh....and of course I love the hexagon flower....but then I would, wouldn't I??
Love it, especially your fun fabric choices. It looks a little similar to the Apple Pie Ottaman by Tanya Whelan.
So cool. I love the hexie on top and bottom!
Someone should write a limerick with the word tuffet and muffet!
What a fabulous foot stool... and great name. Love the use of the hexie.
This is such a neat idea - and it is so pretty!
I love it! I think I might need to get that book to make one for Mattias!
Totally fabulous! LOVE the fabrics you chose. Looks like a happy place to perch and I bet your Miss Muffets will love it too.
Love it! That book just made my "must purchase" list. Your fabric choices are delicious!
Your tuffet is wonderful! I've recently seen one online that's round and has wooden legs, so I ordered the pattern. Several friends and I are making them together, so I too will have one for when little grandsons visit. So useful, and pretty too!
