BUNGLE JUNGLE

This little quilt top is done! It's a pattern from the Moda Bake Shop. The fabric is Bungle Jungle by Tim and Beck for Moda.  I strayed from the pattern a bit by not adding sashing.

Instead, I added a border and extended the frame of the block into the border a few times, as a little design element.

The pattern called for a jellyroll and a charm pack, but I did it out of a layer cake. I'm happy with how it turned out. I haven't decided yet on the quilting, but I'm sure inspiration will strike !

Last night, I spent some time sewing on more hexagons to my quilt top.   Just 28 more hexies to go, and I can applique it down : )    (It's getting harder and harder to get pictures with the shorter days)

All those little pebbles in the cement are giving me an idea for the quilting...........

See you back here Friday for a really fun finish!

Oooh, I like that! Good choice to skip the sashing - it's more fun this way.

And oh, for pictures. It's pitch black by 6:30 these days! I find it's so hard to get good pictures once it hits this time of year but I struggle with getting time during natural light hours anyway.

The little quilt is so cute and colorful. I love the hexies. I am just getting started, so I have a ways to go, but they are addictive.

Such pretties you are showing today! Love your Bungle Jungle quilt! My favorite part is the way the design element goes out into the border. I don't know why we don't do that more - it's awesome! And your hexies are really growing :*)

I love it when patterns are carried out into the border. It keeps the "movement" going. I love the colours you have used in your hexies - can't wait to see the finished top. Philippa xx

I like your quilt with no sashing and the extra 'design element!' Very nice. And as always - awesome hexies!

*************Arlene, I can't reply to your e-mail because you are a 'no-reply' blogger. You need to add an e-mail address to your blogger profile so people can respond to you ; )
The pattern is a free one. If you go to the Moda Bakeshop site and enter Bungle Jungle into the search bar, it should come up : )
